The tyre hotel is the easiest money to lose in a workshop

Every spring and autumn, hundreds of sets arrive within two weeks. A label on the tyre, a row in a spreadsheet, and one colleague who knows that "the Suzuki is on the back shelf". Six months later the label has worn off, the spreadsheet is on another PC and the colleague is on holiday. Tyre hotel software bridges those six months: what you record when the tyres come in, you get back by typing the registration when they go out.

Storing takes a minute.

Customer, registration, size, brand, season, quantity, shelf location. Sizes and brands are entered once and reused; the entry links to the customer's vehicle by registration.

Search by registration.

Type the registration or the customer's name — and there is the shelf. Filter by season, size or brand; before the season change, list who is coming for winter tyres.

Release with a date.

Releasing does not delete: the entry becomes "released" with a date and stays in the customer's history. Who brought what in, and when it left — that is the tyre hotel's bookkeeping.

How it works

Customer and vehicle

For an existing customer the name or the registration is enough; a new customer can be added on the same screen. The tyres link to the vehicle automatically when the registration matches.

Size, brand, season, quantity

Winter, summer or all-season; 205/55 R16 and Michelin entered once and always at hand. Any quantity — four, five, or just two.

Storage location

Shelf, row, container, warehouse — whatever you call it in the shop. Free text, always searchable, editable at any time.

Season change

The list of stored sets, filtered by season. The customer arrives, one hit on the registration, the shelf is known, release is one click — the entry moves into the history.

What is included

  • Search by registration — with or without hyphens, regardless of case.
  • Stored / released / all views with storage and release dates.
  • Editable entries: quantity, location, dates, notes (for example "with rims", "one punctured").
  • Brand and size database maintained by the workshop — no half-empty preset list.
  • On the customer's page the tyre entries appear together with vehicles and work orders.
  • Per location records with a shared customer base.
  • Deleting a customer never takes the tyres with it: the system says what belongs to them and refuses while tyres are in storage.

For tyre shops and general workshops alike

The tyre hotel shares one system with work orders and customer records: the season change becomes a work order, the work order becomes an invoice, and the customer's history shows it all together. Not a separate program, not a separate list.

Why not Excel?

A spreadsheet belongs to one person on one PC and cannot tell whether "Smith" and "John Smith" are the same customer. The system links the tyres to the customer and the registration, is reachable from a phone on the shop floor, and knows who changed what and when. More on this: garage software instead of Excel.

Frequently asked questions

How many sets can it track?

There is no limit. Tyre hotel entries do not count towards the plan's work order quota.

Does releasing delete the entry?

No. The entry becomes "released" with the release date and stays in the customer's history — six months later you still see when it came in and when it left. A release made by mistake can be undone.

We store at several locations — is that handled?

Yes. Each location has its own tyre hotel records, the storage location (shelf, row, container) is free text, and the owner sees every location.

Can the customer see their own tyres?

The workshop sees all stored and released entries on the customer's page and can tell the customer in one click. Tyre hotel data belongs to the workshop and is not publicly accessible.

Can we import our existing spreadsheet?

Yes, we help. Write to info@mechano.hu, send the sheet, and we will agree on the import.
